How we counted

The address register of the BEV gives every address, and each address counts once, however many flats it has. Road noise comes from the strategic noise maps 2022 of the federal ministry BMLUK, and flood areas come from the same ministry. In Klagenfurt, quiet on the side streets comes from an estimate, and nine of the 12 districts share a quiet median of 86. The air comes from the model of the European Environment Agency, public transport from the ÖV-Güteklassen 2025 of the ÖROK, and parks and shops from OpenStreetMap and the city's directories. Noise and air are model values, and distances are as the crow flies. The data is as of 12 October 2026.

The neighbourhood figures cover the 116 neighbourhoods with at least 60 addresses. Rents, prices and safety stay outside LAGE. The score describes the location.

Every figure in this story comes from the same open data as the maps and address pages of Lagecheck, counted per address from the address register. The data stands as of 12 October 2026.
