How we counted
The address register of the BEV gives every address, and each address counts once, however many flats it has. Road noise comes from the strategic noise maps 2022 of the federal ministry BMLUK, as Lden at the loudest facade. In Klagenfurt the quiet part of the side streets comes from an estimate, and nine of the 12 districts share a quiet median of 86. Flood areas come from the flood risk zones of the BMLUK, the air figures from the models of the European Environment Agency, public transport from the ÖROK classes 2025, and parks and shops from OpenStreetMap and the city's directories. The data is from 12 October 2026.
The city figures count every address, and the rankings keep the neighbourhoods with at least 60 addresses. The noise figure belongs to the loudest facade, and a side facing a courtyard can lie in a quieter band. The map of Klagenfurt shows every neighbourhood, and the method explains each part of LAGE.
