How we counted
The address register of the BEV gives every address, and each address counts once, however many flats it has. Parks come from OpenStreetMap, and the measure counts parks alone. Forests, fields and meadows stay out of it, so an address beside a forest can show a long way to the nearest park. We measure each distance as the crow flies, so the walk along the streets runs longer. The data is from 12 October 2026. The method explains how green space enters LAGE. Under your priorities, you can give parks more weight, and the neighbourhood finder then ranks the neighbourhoods of Dornbirn by those priorities. The story on living in Dornbirn sets parks beside flood areas, noise, air and errands on foot.
