How we counted
The address register of the BEV gives every address, and each address counts once, however many flats it has. Road noise comes from the strategic noise maps 2022 of the federal ministry BMLUK, as Lden at the loudest facade, and flood areas from the flood risk zones of the BMLUK under the Hochwasserrichtlinie 2026. The air figures come from the models of the European Environment Agency, public transport from the ÖROK classes 2025, parks and shops from OpenStreetMap and the city's directories, and heat days from ClimaMap Steiermark of the province of Styria. The data is from 7 October 2026.
The city figures count every address, and the rankings keep the neighbourhoods with at least 60 addresses. The noise figure gives the loudest facade, so a flat facing a courtyard can lie in a quieter band. The method explains each part of LAGE.
