Parking on the maps and in your own LAGE

Many people who look at a flat also ask where the car goes. Lagecheck now shows parking in three places.

On the maps

The maps on the neighbourhood pages, in the building report and in the comparison have a new layer, Parking. It shows public garages, car parks and Park & Ride in all ten cities, from the cities' registers and OpenStreetMap. In Vienna, Graz, Salzburg and Linz it adds the short-stay zones, paid zones and resident parking zones with their hours and longest stay, and the city maps of these four cities can switch the parking zones on. A click on a zone or a car park shows its rules. The signs on the street have the final word.

In your own LAGE

Your priorities have a new row, Parking. It starts as unimportant, so LAGE stays the same for everyone. Raise it, and your own LAGE counts parking on the city maps, in the finder, in the building report and in the comparison.

The parking score runs from 0 to 100. Up to 60 points come from the walk to the nearest public garage, car park or Park & Ride, with all 60 within 150 m. Up to 40 points come from the street at the door, with 40 outside the parking zones and 15 inside one. In the six cities that keep their zones out of their open data, the car parks give the whole score. Set your priorities.

On every neighbourhood page

Each neighbourhood page now has a section on parking. It says how many addresses lie in a parking zone and which rules apply there, which garages and car parks lie within 300 m, and how far half of the addresses walk to the nearest one. In Vienna it also counts the spaces kept for residents with the district's Parkpickerl. One example is the Griechengasse area in Vienna's first district.
