How we counted
The address register of the BEV gives every address, and each address counts once, however many flats it has. Road noise comes from the strategic noise maps 2022 of the federal ministry BMLUK, as Lden at the loudest facade. The flood areas come from the BMLUK flood risk zones for 30, 100 and 300 years. Public transport uses the ÖROK classes 2025. Parks come from OpenStreetMap, and shops, doctors and schools from OpenStreetMap and the city's own directories. Distances are as the crow flies. The air figures come from the modelled annual means of the European Environment Agency, and the residents' figures from the population register of Statistik Austria for 1 January 2026. The neighbourhood rankings keep neighbourhoods with at least 60 addresses, and the cadastral communities all enter their ranking, the small ones included. The data stands as of 12 October 2026. The method page gives the rule for each part of LAGE.
